Day 01
Warmly welcome you at Bandaranayake International Air port, with refreshments travel to Negambo, situated by the shores of a lagoon and is an ideal place for those who want quick access to and from the airport. Attractions in the city are the old Dutch fort gate built in 1672 now a part of the prison. The Dutch Canal there was then a supply route to the Dutch administration, huge fish market, old churches and fishing villages.’ Overnight stay in Negambo.
Day 02
After having the Breakfast travel to Pinnawala, visit an Elephant Orphanage. The orphanage was primarily designed to afford care and protection to the baby elephants found in the jungle without their mothers. Next proceed to Golden Temple at Dambulla, It is the home to the World’s most acclaimed Cave complex of magnificent Buddha Images and Rock Paintings. Overnight stay in Dambulla.
Day 03
After having early breakfast at 7.30am, visit Sigiriya Fortress,- Sigiriya is an archeological site in the North Central Sri Lanka. Sigiriya contains the ruins of an ancient palace complex. One of the seven world heritage sites in Sri Lanka. After visit fortress visitors can have optional “Ayurvedic Spa Treatment” here. Proceed to Polonnaruwa- One of the ancient kingdoms in the island, this was the capital of the north central province for 3 centuries, Polonnaruwa reached its zenith. Under King Parakramabahu (1153–86). The king erected huge buildings, planned beautiful parks, as a crowning achievement. Overnight stay at the same place in Dambulla.
Day 04
After the breakfast visit Ancient city of Anuradhapura- This was the first ancient kingdom established in Sri Lanka. A corner of the ‘cultural triangle’ and is widely considered the birthplace of Buddhism in the country. Anuradhapura is a truly remarkable city complete with the best of wildlife, irrigational network and world acclaimed historic monuments. Farming is the main source of living here and it is home to a modest farming community. Overnight stay in Anuradhapura.
Day 05
After having the breakfast visit Mihintale. Mihintale is an important tourist destination in Sri Lanka, especially for pilgrim travelers. Next proceed to Aukana- the 13 metres high Buddha’s statue carved out of solid granite, goes back to the 5th century. Ritigala- Ritigala is a range of mountains which is near Anuradhapura in the dry zone of Sri Lanka. There are many monastic ruins of stones, terrace ways, circular terraces, a stone bridge, and remains of a giant stone banked pond built across a water stream. “Enjoy the Elephant riding at Habarana”. Overnight stay in Habarana.
Day 06
After having the Breakfast visit “Spice Garden” via Kandy, – Matale spice gardens are among the best on the island. Sri Muththumari Amman Hindu temple- Its outer walls are covered with hundreds of carvings and statues of different famous Hindu characters, gods and deities. Nalanda Gedige- is a curious hybrid of Buddhist and Hindu architecture. Some of the design elements are distinctly Hindu, such as the “mandapam” or hall of waiting. It is one of the remarkable archaeological sites in Sri Lanka. Overnight stay in Kandy.
Day 07
After the Breakfast visit Temple of tooth and the Botanical garden. Kandy was the last Sinhala Kingdom until it was captured and ruled by the British in 1815. Famous for the Temple of tooth that houses Lord Buddha’s sacred tooth relic, home of the Esala Perahera. Enjoy the beauteous scenes of Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, if you intend shopping, Kandy is the one of best places for buying Gems, Handicrafts, Silk ect. Enjoy the Kandyan Cultural Shows, in the evening. Overnight stay at the same place in Kandy.
Day 08
After having the breakfast Start journey to Nuwara Eliya, on our way visit Ramboda water fall and Tea plantations, Situated at around 2000m above sea level and surrounded by lush tea plantations.Nuwara Eliya is the main hill resort and the heart of the tea industry in Sri Lanka. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 09
Early wake up at 5.30am Drive to Horton Plains, A paradise for nature lovers, hikers and birds watching. The most stunning place is the World’s End, where the southern Horton Plains suddenly ends, and drops off to nearly 1050metres, an awesome sight indeed. You can walk at your convenience commencing a sightseeing tour of the city in the evening Overnight stay at the same place in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 10
After the Breakfast you can see the amazing Ella Gap, a steep valley stretching out for miles between Ella Rock and the Little Adam’speak. Proceed to one of the popular waterfalls “Ravana”(25m) high) on our way to Thissamaharama (Tissa) visit Buduruwagala,-on a massive rock, somewhat similar in shape of an elephant lying down, is a courtly group of seven figures carved in high relief two bodhisattvas, each attended by two figures, standing on either side of a 16m high central Buddha figure. Overnight stay in Thissamaharamaya.
Day 11
Early Wake up at 5.30am, Drive to Yala national park the most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka. The park is best known for its variety of wild animals like Leopards, Elephants, Bears, Crocodiles, Peacocks, Jungle fowls ect. You can visit Ruhunu Kataragama Devala in the evening, one of Sri Lanka’s holy places where Hindus, Buddhists and Muslims visit on religious pilgrimage. It is a large Complex with the `Mahadewala’ Main Hindu shrine being the most important place. Overnight stay at the same place in Tissa.
Day 12
After having the Breakfast travel to lovely beaches in Mirissa or Unawatuna , relax and enjoy yourself until you leave from this ” Paradise”. On the way to the Air Port you can visit Turtle & Hatchery farms at Bentota or Habaraduwa.
